One of the biggest challenges I see new internet marketers struggle with is dealing with ‘information overload’. It’s very easy to get sucked into the really great sales copy and want to try to make lots of money by becoming a super affiliate, creating products, selling resell rights products, doing pay per click, blogging, AND creating your own membership site.
The problem is by running around in too many directions and trying to accomplish too many things, it makes it almost impossible to stay focused. And being focused is almost essential when it comes to enjoying success, especially online.
My number one tip for anyone who is struggling with information overload is to focus on just one thing at a time and promise yourself that you will see it through to completion. I believe you are much better off having one website that is completely up and running and makes even a little money, than dozens of websites that are only 50% complete and aren’t making you anything. Once you’ve figured out how to make money one way and you can do that consistently, then it is easy to add a new element to the mix (whether that be a new site, a new way to make money online, or a new product).
But if you try to learn and do too many things at once, it’s almost impossible to succeed because you’re probably going to end up feeling overwhelmed and stuck. The key is to always keep moving forward, even if it’s just a little bit at a time. You will be amazed at how much you can achieve simply by moving towards your most important goals, even a little bit, every day.
One person who really helped me stay focused and move forward (and I am extremely grateful to) is Erik Stafford ‘The Faster Webmaster’. Erik has helped over a thousand people (just like you and me) crush their fears and get their own websites online and running in no time flat. I used his Faster Webmaster Program and thought it was awesome, but he’s just released Faster Webmaster II and it is so much better. It is a very comprehensive program and it has earned rave reviews from people like Joshua Shafran, Dan Kuschell, and Bob The Teacher.

Information overload is the number one disease that has effected so many Internet marketer’s, let alone entrepreneurs. And I can attest to what Jit makes mention of here over and over again.
I want everybody to know that it is not your fault. You see, I learned something invaluable in the past week…
You don’t need “money” to be successful, but it does take money to make more of it.
I know what all of you are already thinking - DUH
But, how many times have you got all excited and hyper over your willingness to learn new information that could attribute to your businesses?
As Jit alluded to in his opening paragraphs:
It’s more practical to start with one website or idea that makes you a little bit of money, than by having 5 websites and/or product or services that are only 50% complete.
Now, I myself, am no different from anyone else. Some of us are procrastinators, some of us learn faster than others, some of us are more Internet savvy, and some of us are even “know-it alls.”
Now, I say this with the utmost respect to everybody -
You can proclaim yourself as any one of these pseudo-intellectuals or….
Become aware of your own presence. The art of making money on Interent or as an entrepreneur is an extension of what Jit is talking about in humble non-threatening way.
The art of making money and even obscene profits centers starts with YOU.
*Your willingness to accept change.
*A training balance scale (2 sides)
Spend 90% of your motivation, thinking, dreams, goals, attitudes, etc. on your WHY and 10% of your techniques, actions, skills, physical work, etc. on your HOW.
I guarantee you will have results and you will never have to find them - because they have always been embedded in you; they have always been a part of your WHY.
Make your life more than just a reward!

Thanks for the great comment Jason! People really should be focused on the ‘why’ instead of the ‘how’, because if you create a strong enough why, the how usually takes care of itself.
Excellent advice!

You know Jit, quite honestly I went through the same thing when I first started. I have had to check myself from trying to buy everything that comes my way because I believe in totaly educating myself so my team members can benefit from my expertise.
I recently on my own decided to focus ONLY on branding my name and then promoting my affilliate product or company second once I have built my downline and gained their trust. If I had known that when I first got into the business I would be much further ahead now.
In fact, I think that most individuals who come into Internet Marketing are missing that concept. With the ability to make money so quickly, many who come into this industry have dollar signs in their eyes and theirfor can lose focus.
It took a top marketer to “pull in the reigns”, take me under their wing and get me focused. Also, for the “newbie” it makes sense to actually have a journal and right your tasks for the day. For example, I make it a point to read info on internet marketing at least one hour a day and then I apply at least one thing that I have learned immediately.
Having a daily tasks journals realy does help keep one focused, in control and on target with your goals.
Hi Hervin!
It sounds like you’re much more focused than you used to be and I really believe that is one of the most important keys to success, especially in Internet marketing.
Best of luck to you and thanks for stopping by.
