April 19th, 2009 — Giveaways, internet marketing, list building
As most of you know, I strongly recommend participating in JV Giveaway events to build your email list.
Right now there are 3 really great JV Giveaway events looking for contributors and I can’t wait for each of them to launch.
The first one is the Impact Event Giveaway by Ken McArthur and Odinn Sorensen. It launches on Thursday, April 23rd and runs until Thursday, May 7th.
==> JV Invite for the Impact Event Giveaway
Odinn’s giveaways get lots of traffic, so I purchased the upgrade and strongly recommend you consider it as well.
The second one is the Free IM Giveaway by Reed Floren. This one runs from Friday, April 24th, to Friday, May 1st.
==> JV Invite - Free IM Giveaway
Reed is one of the best when it comes to running giveaway events, so I purchased the upgrade and definitely recommend upgrading whenever he decides to run one.
The third one is the Greedy Giveaway by Jason James. This one opens on Tuesday, April 28th and runs until Tuesday, May 12th, 2009.
==> JV Invite for the Greedy Giveaway
Again, I purchased the upgrade for this event since I’m confident it is going to get A LOT of traffic and should result in a lot more opt-ins.
As you can see, now is a really great time to participate in some JV Giveaway events as a contributor. All three of these JV Giveaway events should get A LOT of traffic and members (which means a lot of potential new subscribers).

One of my favorite ways to build a list is through JV giveaway events.
These are extremely popular because it’s great for the members (they get to download lots of great gifts for free) AND it’s great for the contributors as well (if you offer a free gift that the members are interested in you can add A LOT of new subscribers to your list in a short period of time).
The first time you participate in an event as a contributor it can seem a little intimidating, but once your gift is set up (you’ll need to set up a squeeze page and a download page for your gift), participating in future events should seem pretty easy (and take you less than 15 minutes per event).
Whenever I bring up giveaway events, one of the first questions I get asked is ‘How do you find out about them?’. I’ve participated in so many giveaways now that I usually find out about them by email, but since people kept asking me this question (over and over) I finally decided to create a new blog to keep people updated on them.

March 20th, 2009 — Freebies, Giveaways, Resell Rights, Uncategorized, internet marketing, list building, niche marketing
When I’m working with students, one of the most common challenges we run into is trying to find something that they can use as an ‘ethical bribe’ to entice people to opt-in to their email list.
Years ago you could offer a free newsletter and people were happy to opt-in, but these days thanks to the insane amount of emails and spam many of us get, that is simply no longer the case…
These days you usually need to offer a quality ‘gift’ or ‘ethical bribe’ to convince people to opt-in (and provide their name and email address).
Up until recently I used to suggest that students do a search on Google and try to find a free ebook related to their niche that includes giveaway rights (which basically means that you have the right to give it away for free).
Now I have a MUCH easier suggestion.
Download this package of 126 free niche eBooks with full MRR and giveaway rights:
==> 126 Free Niche eBooks
Please keep in mind that ideally you would like to offer a unique gift or at least use something that allows you to rebrand it with your own affiliate link(s).
Fortunately, these eBooks do allow you to rebrand them for a very small fee (you can rebrand any of the individual books for only $5, or you can purchase bundles that are much less per book).
However, even if you’re not interested in rebranding these ebooks, I think these are great for anyone who is struggling to create a unique ‘gift’ or find something other than a free newsletter to offer their visitors.
Again, here’s a link to get these 126 eBooks for FREE (no opt-in required):

May 14th, 2008 — Building Your Business, Giveaways, Resell Rights
Resale rights products are one of the best ways to start making money online and this is definitely the best resale rights package I have seen so far. Even if you don’t plan on reselling any of these products, this is an awesome collection to have for your own personal use.
I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but you are going to be totally blown away when you see what is included in this package (over 350 products) and how little it costs.
You have to check this out for yourself…

By the way, if any of you are interested in joining a JV giveaway to help build your own list, these are two which are starting soon that I recommend.

April 15th, 2008 — Giveaways
Hi there,
Today I would like to talk to you about how to use giveaways effectively to build your own online business. When you are just getting started, giveaways are a really great way to get your hands on thousands of dollars worth of free ebooks, software, and scripts. A few tips I would like to share with you regarding giveaways are:
1. Don’t try and download everything. I love freebies, but trying to download each and every item offered is probably going to be a complete waste of time. That’s a perfect recipe for coming down with a bad case of ‘information overload’ and odds are you will never even open many of those files.
2. Try to find items that include resell rights. Basically, resell rights mean you have the right to sell that product to others. By picking up some great products with resell rights, you can not only learn and benefit from the information contained in the product yourself, you can then resell it to others and make some money as well. (Note: If you do decide to resell the product yourself, I strongly recommend sticking to high quality products that you would be willing to purchase yourself.)
3. Look for items that will help you immediately. Most of us are usually looking for specific information or tools to help us in building our online business. I recommend looking for items that you know will help you right away (and ignoring items that ‘might’ be of use to you down the road). For example, let’s suppose that you are interested in setting up your own blog, but you aren’t sure how to. Try to find some ebooks or video tutorials that will help you set up your blog immediately and instead of saving that information in a directory (which is what I do for almost all of the items I download), save it to your desktop. This will remind you to actually open the file and use it. Remember, out of sight, out of mind…
4. Try to find ebooks and products that have been produced by someone you respect and trust. Since our time is so valuable and there is so much information out there, I spend most of my time learning from people I already respect and trust or people that they recommend. Some of the authors I have seen featured in giveaways whom I highly recommend include: Liz Tomey, Jeff Dedrick, Alex Jeffreys, Lee McIntyre, and Ewen Chia. (Please note: These are only some of the great authors who in my opinion produce very high quality content. I am simply listing a few of my personal favourites. Your list will be and should be different.)
5. Consider becoming a gift contributor yourself. Once your online business is up and running and you’ve already built a list of subscribers of your own, I would strongly recommend that you consider becoming a contributor. It is obviously going to take a little work on your part (you may have to set up a squeeze page and download page for your gift), but it is something that I strongly recommend since they really are great ways to build your list. Please note, that these are usually by invite only and you will be expected to promote the giveaway to your list. However, if you are interested in becoming a contributor and already have a list of your own, please feel free to click on the link below which is an invite from me to join a great giveaway that starts on April 20th.

I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to really grow your business, but if you aren’t ready to participate as a contributor then hopefully you will find some really great resources and tools at the following giveaways.
This is a link to a great giveaway that just started yesterday: http://www.musthaveinternetmarketingtips.com/recommends/massive/
You’ll find over $7,000 worth of ebooks, sofware, and scripts there for FREE. There are lots of great products just waiting for you here.
A couple of more giveaways you should take a look at are: http://www.musthaveinternetmarketingtips.com/recommends/angel/
http://www.musthaveinternetmarketingtips.com/recommends/ebay/
I found some great gifts at these ones as well.
Good luck and hopefully you found some of my tips regarding using giveaways to build your online business useful.
